and LINKIN PARK have confirmed appearances at the Irish twin of the LEEDS and READING festivals.
The metal giants appear at the RDS Showground in Dublin on August 20. More names will be added to the bill soon.
Altough the Dublin festival is a one day event, organisers are hoping it will grow in the next few years to become a two-or-three, day, five stage extravaganza.
Metallica have already confirmed appearances at Leeds (August 22) and Reading (August 24), and it now looks increasingly likely that Linkin Park will be joining them on the bill.
The bands have already announced they will both be appearing on the Summer Sanitarium 2003 tour of North America alongside Limp Bizkit and Mudvayne.
Linkin Park release new album ‘Meteora’ on March 24, with Metallica‘s new effort ‘St Anger’ following on June 10.
