METALLICA’s KIRK HAMMETT is joining SANTANA to play a charity concert in the US.
The guitarist is to join the veteran psychedelic rock band for their concert raising money for the San Francisco School Of The Arts, at the city’s Filmore Theater on April 4.
“It is an honour to participate in this event to help raise funds on behalf of the San Francisco School Of The Arts,” Santana said in a press statement.
Hammett will sit in as the band’s guitarist during their set and the show will be MCed by Cheech Marin of Cheech & Chong fame.
The school is the only publicly funded music school in the San Francisco area, training some 400 students in music, film, dance, theatre and visual arts.
