MIA takes to the sky to announce new album details

New album released may have been revealed from a plane in the US

MIA has reportedly announced the release date of her new album – via a tickertape attached to a blimp flying above this year’s Coachella festival.

The blimp initially advertised MIA‘s forthcoming appearances at the Hard Fest that takes place in Los Angeles and New York, reports Rap-up.com.

However, the message ended with the words: “New Album 6.29.10”. If that release date does prove to be correct, it would mean it likely that MIA‘s third album will be released in the UK on June 28.

Hard Fest takes place in Los Angeles on July 17 and in New York on July 24.

MIA is expected to play alongside acts signed to her N.E.E.T. label, who include Rye Rye and Sleigh Bells.
