Sir Michael Caine has revealed that he is a big fan of Christine And The Queens – and has the pop star’s songs on his iPad. Check out the clip below.
The French artist – whose real name is Héloïse Letissier – released her second album last month. In a five-star review, NME described ‘Chris’ as “a deft and bogglingly-intelligent record, which somehow sounds blissfully effortless too”.
In support of the LP, the singer appeared on The Graham Norton Show on Friday evening (October 19). After performing her track ‘5 Dollars’, Letissier joined the other guests on the sofa – where she found an unlikely fan in the form of Sir Michael Caine.
The 85-year-old acting legend praised the singer for her “wonderful tunes”, before enthusiastically saying: “You’re on my iPad!”

After revealing that he plays Letissier’s music “every time I get miserable”, Caine referenced her recent appearance on Later… With Jools Holland.
Earlier today, the singer reflected on the surreal moment. “Michael Caine told me he had some of my songs on his iPad,” she tweeted, “and now I can’t help but constantly picture Michael Caine using an iPad. Have a good Sunday.”

Viewers were quick to praise Caine for his taste in music, too. “Learning that Sir Michael Caine likes Christine And The Queens AND watches her tv performances made my day so much better,” one fan tweeted.

If I live to be a hundred I doubt that I will ever be so visually and audibly engrossed by any artist. Christine and the Queens are just a different class! Superb. If it's good enough for Sir Michael Caine……
