Joe Jackson says son won't be laid to rest at former home
Michael Jackson‘s father Joe Jackson has told reporters that media reports are untrue that his son will be buried at Neverland Ranch.
Jackson addressed the media outside his family’s compound in the San Fernando Valley in California, and stated that they’re awaiting the results of a second autopsy before going ahead with any funeral plans.
Results are apparently expected soon.
No cause of death has been announced in the case, despite the county coroner conducting an initial autopsy on Friday (June 26), a day after the pop star’s death.
Just hours ago, a judge awarded Michael Jackson‘s mother, Katherine, temporary guardianship of his three children.
Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Mitchell Beckloff gave his ruling today (June 29), when Jackson‘s mother appeared in court to make her request to continue looking after her grandchildren.
Another hearing is set for August 3 to determine whether she can become the children’s permanent guardian.
Jackson, who suffered cardiac arrest last week, left behind three children, Michael Joseph Jackson Jr, 12, Paris Michael Katherine Jackson, 11, and Prince Michael II, 7.
