Michael Jackson tribute concert line-up falling apart

Mary J Blige, Chris Brown and Natalie Cole not expected to perform

A tribute concert honouring the late Michael Jackson has been dealt a blow with singers Mary J. Blige, Chris Brown and Natalie Cole not expected to perform.

As previously announced, the concert which takes place on September 26, is set to feature a duet of sorts with Michael Jackson appearing on screen to perform with his brother Jermaine.

Taking place at Vienna’s Schönbrunn castle and with an expected audience of 65,000 plus a potential TV deal in the works to reach one billion people worldwide, it’s now up to organisers to replace the acts who have pulled out.

Commenting on the line up the show’s producer Georg Kindel told a news conference: “The star is Michael Jackson – it’s not about name dropping and who else will be there,”

With tickets for the concert called ‘The Tribute’, ranging from £55 to £453 ($92 to $755), fans will be hoping that a few more high profile names will be signed up to bolster the line-up which currently features the likes of Sister Sledge and Akon.
