Posthumous release features eight unreleased songs worked on by producers including Timbaland
The tracklisting for the new Michael Jackson album ‘XSCAPE’ has been revealed.
The album is set for release of May 13 and features eight unreleased songs worked on by producers including Timbaland. Tracks to have made the final album include ‘Love Never Felt So Good’, ‘Slave To The Rhythm’ and ‘Do You Know Where Your Children Are.’
‘XSCAPE’ will be released on May 13 via Epic and is the project of executive producer LA Reid, who was granted unlimited access to four decades worth of Jackson’s vocal material. Sony Mobile customers using select devices will be able to download the album for free on the day of release.
Other producers who have “contemporised” Jackson’s material include Stargate, Jerome “Jroc” Harmon, and John McClain. A deluxe edition of the record will include a selection of the recordings in their original form.
Earlier this month it was reported that a different song on ‘XSCAPE’ tells the story of an abused 12-year-old who runs away from home and turns to prostitution. The lyrics reportedly include the lines: “She wrote that she is tired of stepdaddy using her/Saying that he’ll buy her things, while sexually abusing her.”
The tracklist is as follows:
‘Love Never Felt So Good’
‘A Place With No Name’
‘Slave To The Rhythm’
‘Do You Know Where Your Children Are’
