Michael Jackson speaks about new material

He works on a 'pot pourri' of music

Michael Jackson has discussed working on his new album – with some high-profile collaborators.

The music will be Jackson’s first new material since 2001’s ’Invincible’ album.

The singer spoke about working with Black Eyed Peas member Will.i.am, who is helping him out on the record.

He said: “I like what he is doing and thought it would be interesting to collaborate or just see how the chemistry worked.

“I think he’s doing wonderful, innovative, positive, great music.”

Jackson also talked about his working methods.

He revealed: “I am always writing a pot pourri of music. I want to give the world escapism through the wonder of great music and to reach the masses.”

Jackson told ’Access Hollywood’ that he plans to release the new album in 2007 on a Bahrain-based record label.
