Jackson releases his first album of new material in six years today. Titled ‘Invincible’, the King Of Pop will be hoping to top the success of his comeback single, ‘You Rock My World’, by going to the top of the UK album charts. ‘You Rock My World’ was beaten to the top of the UK singles chart by Kylie Minogue‘s ‘Can’t Get You Out Of My Head’.
A chart expert at the Virgin Megastore in London told NME.COM that they expected the record to be Number One by Sunday (November 4), but not to sell “millions” in its first week.
She commented: “We think he’ll make it to the top, although we think that is partly because there are no other major contenders, rather than the fact he’s likely to sell millions of copies. The midweek chart positions tomorrow will give a good indicator.”
In the battle for the UK singles chart, the Dandy Warhols release ‘Bohemian Like You’, Natalie Imbruglia releases ‘That Day’, Jennifer Lopez releases ‘I’m Real’ and Andrew WK releases his single ‘Party Hard’. All are likely to become high new entries this week, according to the chart expert.
