Michael Jackson's daughter taken to Los Angeles hospital in early hours of this morning (June 5)
Paris Jackson, the daughter of Michael Jackson, has been hospitalised after an attempted suicide.
Debbie Rowe, the 15-year-old’s mother, confirmed the news to Entertainment Tonight, adding that Jackson has had “a lot going on [lately]”. Angel Howansky, a long-term publicist to Paris’ grandfather Joe Jackson, confirmed the suicide attempt to BBC News.
According to TMZ, who first reported the suicide attempt, Paris was rushed to a Los Angeles hospital at 2am local time (9am GMT) today (June 5). An unconfirmed source told the US gossip website that Paris had multiple cuts to one of her wrists.
The website also claims a source close to the family said Jackson “threw a fit” last night, after being told she couldn’t go to a Marilyn Manson and Alice Cooper concert at the Gibson Amphitheatre on June 6.
Just hours before being rushed to hospital, Paris Jackson tweeted a lyric from The Beatles’ ‘Yesterday’. She wrote: “Yesterday, all my troubles seemed so far away now it looks as though they’re here to stay.”
Paris Jackson and her brother Prince are due to testify in the family’s £26 billion lawsuit against concert promoters AEG Live. The family claims the concert promoter was neglectful when it hired doctor Conrad Murray, who gave the singer the overdose of sedative Propofol that lead to his death in June 2009.
