"Set my goals like a go, hit the switch."
Migos have released new track ‘Position To Win’, and it’s taken straight from a commercial for Mountain Dew.
The new offering from the US group sees them relying on their trademark trap sound once more, although it’s blended with a subtle motivational message.
“That’s a call I can’t miss. Set my goals like a go, hit the switch. Work, work, work, check it off the checklist,” the trio rap on the track.
It’s their second new release of 2019 and comes after they unveiled ‘Pure Water’ earlier this month. Both of those new tracks can be listened to in full below.
The release comes at the end of a week that has seen Migos sticking up for fellow Georgia rapper 21 Savage, after he was arrested by US immigration officials.
Taking aim at the fans who shared humorous memes, Offset wrote: “All the memes and shit ain’t funny when somebody going through some. Praying for ma dawg, ain’t shit.”
Yesterday, Offset also feuded with Chris Brown – who had shared a video of the rapper that was dubbed with a British accent.
In response, Offset said, “Memes ain’t funny lame”, to which Brown unloaded: “Fuck you lil boy. Better worry about what u got going and focus on ‘you,’”
“All this cap on IG is what’s lame. Yo energy wont [sic] that when I came to Drake show in LA. If you don’t get yo a hip a hop a hibbet a hibbet to the hip hip hop and ya don’t stop the rockin faceass out of my comments. Sensitive ass n***a.
“Call me personally. U want some clout when all u gotta do is pull up […] If you a real man fight me. Oh and another thing, suck my dick!”
In a subsequent Instagram Story, Offset wrote: “Coke head don’t want [smoke]”.
