Miley Cyrus reportedly ‘in talks’ to perform at next year’s Glastonbury Festival

Tabloid reports claim there are 'initial plans' to book the controversial star

Tabloid reports claim that Miley Cyrus is in talks to appear at Glastonbury Festival 2016.

The pop singer has experienced a busy week, hosting the MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday night and releasing new album ‘Miley Cyrus And Her Dead Petz’ shortly after.

Now, The Sun reports that there are “initial plans, which are in very early stages” for Cyrus to perform at Worthy Farm next year.

“Miley’s been on the Eavis radar for a while,” a source allegedly told the newspaper. “She’s outrageous and there was interest in previous years, around the time of her ‘Bangerz’ tour last year and when her godmother Dolly Parton played the Pyramid [Stage].”

NME approached a press representative from the festival who refused to offer any comment on the reports.

At last weekend’s MTV VMAs, Nicki Minaj called Miley Cyrus a “bitch” after Cyrus had previously spoken to the New York Times about Minaj’s recent beef with Taylor Swift, saying that it was “not very polite” of Minaj. Cyrus was quoted as saying, “What I read sounded very Nicki Minaj, which, if you know Nicki Minaj is not too kind. It’s not very polite.”

When Minaj’s ‘Anaconda’ won the Best Hip-Hop video award, she said: “And now, back to this bitch who had a lot to say about me the other day in the press. Miley, what’s good?” Cyrus proceeded to suggest that her remarks had been taken out of context, but Minaj seemed to reject Cyrus’ excuses.
