Pop star also says she loves getting stoned
Miley Cyrus has said “doesn’t give a shit” about her critics because she’s “not Disney”.
Speaking to Ronan Farrow, Woody Allen’s son, in a new interview for W Magazine, Cyrus says that she loves getting stoned and speaks openly about people who have criticised her use of black backing dancers during her live shows.
On the subject of her critics, Cyrus says: “I don’t give a shit. I’m not Disney.” She then adds: “I’m not Disney, where they have, like, an Asian girl, a black girl and a white girl to be politically correct, and, like, everyone has bright-colored T-shirts. You know, it’s like, I’m not making any kind of statement.”
Moving on to cannabis, Cyrus says she does not want to get involved in a debate on the legalisation of the drug but is happy to extoll its virtues. “I love weed,” she tells Farrow. “I just love getting stoned…I just want it to be back to where it’s, like, organic, good weed.”
Last month Cyrus was joined on stage by Madonna as she recorded an MTV Unplugged special. During the recording Los Angeles, Cyrus was joined by Madonna for a mash-up of the pop icon’s hit ‘Don’t Tell Me’ and Cyrus’ own ‘We Can’t Stop’.
