Creamfields offer refunds over cancellation after flooding

Plus a limited number of tickets for next year's festival are going on-sale at a discounted price

Creamfields are offering refunds to ticket-buyers who fell foul of the festival’s part-cancellation last month.

The second day of the dance weekender (August 29) had to be pulled due to adverse weather conditions and flooding leading to the cancellation of performances by acts including Deadmau5 and Calvin Harris.

Organisers have now issued details of the refund scheme. Sunday day-ticket holders will be given all of their money back, while those with weekend tickets will get half of the ticket price.

A statement from Creamfields reads: “Firstly we’d like to apologise for the delay in getting these details to you, we do understand your frustration, however there are several parties involved and it’s taken a little longer than anticipated to pull this information together. Rest assured this has been a top priority for us.”

Meanwhile, as a “thank for you to dance fans for their patience and support,” a limited number of tickets for next year’s event are being released at the discounted price of £90 plus booking fee for two-day standard camping and £110 plus booking fee for three-day standard camping.

The tickets go onsale at 10am this Wednesday (September 5), and there is an assurance that organisers are “currently assessing how the festival can be improved upon for 2013”.
