The luscious-lipped superstar heads for Brixton Academy...
MISSY ELLIOTT is lining up her first gig in the UK for more than two years later this month, NME.COM can reveal.
According to sources close to Missy, whose last live performance on this side of the Atlantic was at the MTV video awards two years ago, when she performed alongside Mariah Carey and Da Brat, has a date pencilled in at Brixton Academy in London on May 31.
The venue said this afternoon that a confirmed date has yet to be announced.
It follows the release of her third album, ‘Miss E… So Addictive’, which was unveiled at a party and live performance in the Bahamas earlier this year, on May 14.
As previously reported on NME.COM, Missy is set to release a DVD/VHS four-track collection also titled ‘Hits of Miss E… So Addictive’, through Warner Vision on the same day.
The videos span from her debut ‘The Rain’, lifted from 1997 debut album ‘Supa Dupa Fly’, through to current UK Top Five hit ‘Get Ur Freak On’. The DVD-video also offers behind-the-scenes footage of the making of ‘The Rain’ and ‘She’s A Bitch’.
