Moby, who played Woodstock 99, has struck out at organisers.
He says after booking acts like Korn, Limp Bizkit and Kid Rock they should have expected trouble.
“You don’t have a rock festival based on peace and love and invite Kid Rock and Insane Clown Posse,” he told the BBC.
Moby who is famously a teetotaller, recently released ‘Play’ to critical acclaim.
“It’s just foolishness.” He said. “Look at the people who go to their shows regularly – macho idiots. So, of course those same macho idiots are going to show up at your rock festival and cause trouble.”
Moby will be playing The Scala, Kings Cross, London on 22 September and 25 October 1999.
