Moby to open vegan restaurant in Los Angeles

Little Pine will launch in the Silver Lake neighbourhood this summer

Moby is set to open his own vegan restaurant in Los Angeles.

Called Little Pine, the eatery will open its doors this summer and initially only serve dinner on weekdays and brunch on weekends, reports Fact.

Moby isn’t the only music star to branch out into the world of vegan cuisine. Earlier this year, Beyoncé launched her own vegan meal delivery service with her trainer. The singer, who participated in the 22 Days Nutrition challenge with husband Jay Z in 2013, was inspired to team up with her trainer Marcos Borges for the new service, which she has called 22 Days Nutrition.

The service is based on the philosophy that it takes 21 days to break a habit and the 22nd day signals a fresh start. The meals, which cost $9.76 (£6.43) to $16.50 (£10.88), are entirely plant-based and do not include gluten, soy, dairy or GMOs. They will be delivered to homes once a week, and customers can either buy packages for one, two or three meals a day.

Sample dishes include curried Indian cauliflower and sweet potato bowl, sesame cabbage lentil bowl, and ratatouille pasta with pesto.

“I am so grateful that I took the challenge and credit Marco with leading by example,” Beyoncé said in a statement. “He came up with a great program to get people motivated to make better nutritional choices. All you have to do is try. If I can do it, anyone can. I am excited to partner with him.”
