MOBY claims to have played in an LA “celebrity cover band” that featured ROBBIE WILLIAMS, members of GUNS ‘N ROSES, Cult and [/a].

Moby was in LA promoting his new album ’18’. The bald dance star said he hooked up with stars including ex-Guns ‘N Roses stars Matt Sorum and Slash, [a]’s Dave Navarro, Robbie Williams, Billy Duffy and Billy Morrison from [a][/a] in an undisclosed nightclub to perform the songs.

Writing in the diary section of his official website,, he said: “I did ‘Whole Lotta Love’ and ‘Gimme Shelter’, but the highlight of the night for me was Robbie Williams singing ‘Fat Bottomed Girls’ with Slash playing guitar. Ah, only in LA…. When it was over Robbie went home to watch the footie, and I went out to an after-party until late.

“Rock and roll. A nice place to visit, but I wouldn’t want to live there. I couldn’t live there. I don’t have the physical or mental fortitude to live in the land of rock and roll.”

NME.COM recently revealed Robbie Williams has taken a rock direction in the six month break he has taken from the UK. While in LA he has been jamming with Billy Duffy, and it is rumoured they could be writing material together.
