Mogwai top Official Record Store Chart

Post-rockers' new album 'Rave Tapes' debuts at Number One ahead of Warpaint

Mogwaihave topped this week’s Official Record Store Chart with their new album ‘Rave Tapes’.

The album beat off competition from Warpaint and Bruce Springsteen to land the top spot.

Elsewhere in the Top 10, Arctic Monkeys’ ‘AM’ is at seven and East India Youth’s ‘Total Strife Forever’ is at six. There are three further new entries in this week’s chart, with Blitz Kids, Damien Jurado and Thee Silver Mt Zion Memorial Orchestra all landing in the Top 10.


Launched as part of Record Store Day, the Official Record Store Chart reflects sales in the UK’s independent record shops. The chart is made up of sales of albums from around 100 independent record retailers who participate in Record Store Day UK. The full Top 40 features every week in NME.
