MOGWAI have been forced to pull out of tomorrow (June 8) night’s gig in GLASGOW.
The post-rock pioneers have had to cancel the show at the new ABC venue along with a date scheduled for St Petersburg, Russia, this weekend because drummer Martin Bulloch has developed a severe case of tendonitis.
He has been advised by doctors to cancel all gigs until his condition improves.
The show would have marked the opening of the venue, so rather than pull the date completely, tickets will still be valid for a new opening which promises to be the “closest thing to a Mogwai gig without them actually being there”.
Their favourite band Trout will play live along with Errors, who are signed to the band’s Rock Action label. The band’s tour DJ NOJ and Twitch and Wilkes (Optimo) will be spinning tunes.
However, tickets redeemed tomorrow will also remain valid for the rescheduled date as and when it happens. Fans who text ‘MOGWAI’ to 07766 404142 will be the first to receive details of the new date.
