The band are set to soundtrack film about the footballer
Mogwai are to score a new movie charting the life of French footballer Zinedine Zidane.
The Scottish post-rockers, who release their new album ‘Mr Beast’ on March 6, have hooked-up with fellow Glaswegian director Douglas Gordon and French artist Philippe Parreno for ‘Zidane: A 21st Century Portrait’.
There is currently no release date for the movie.
As previously announced on NME.COM, Mogwai will play several UK dates as part of a world tour this year, including a prestigious show at London’s Royal Albert Hall.
