Mogwai gear up for busy summer

There's a new EP, a film soundtrack and loads of live dates

Mogwai are to release an EP to coincide with a host of European summer festival appearances.

The band, currently touring North America, release the ‘Travel Is Dangerous’ EP on June 26. As well as the title track, which is taken from the band’s current album ‘Mr Beast’, the EP will feature an Acid Casuals mix of the Scots post-rockers’ last single, the top 40 hit ‘Friend Of The Night’.

There is also an Errors mix of ‘Auto Rock’, as well as live versions of ‘Like Herod’ and ‘We’re No Here’.

As previously reported on NME.COM, the band have also soundtracked ‘Zidane’, a portrait of the legendary French footballer Zinedine Zidane by Scottish film director Douglas Gordon, which is released on May 24.

It will be at this year’s Cannes Film Festival between May 17 and 27.
