In a show of solidarity, the band refuse to cross a Dublin picket line - so they've changed venues...
MOGWAI have been forced to change the venue of their show in DUBLIN on Tuesday (April 17) because the band refuse to cross a picket line staged by striking workers of the GUINNESS BREWERY, NME.COM can exclusively reveal.
The band had been due to play the Storeroom venue, also known as the Guinness Storeroom, but were not prepared to break the strike and so have been moved to the Red Box venue.
The strike, which began on Thursday (April 12) and is now esculating, is in support of 140 workers at a Guinness packpaging plant in nearby Dundalk, who are set to be laid off.
“The band are not prepared to break any picket line,” a spokesperson told NME.COM.
Tickets remain valid for the new venue.
