And to celebrate, next week's NME contains a free CD compiled by the great man himself...
Morrissey‘s MELTDOWN festival kicks off tonight (June 12) in LONDON with a performance from the MOZFATHER himself – and NME are celebrating with the release of an exclusive CD.
Next week’s issue of NME (June 16) will come with a one-off CD compiled by the legend from his own record collection, including tracks from Franz Ferdinand, Libertines, New York Dolls, Sparks and The Slits.
Morrissey is curating this year’s Meltdown festival which runs from June 11-27 at London’s South Bank Centre – the star will also play three concerts himself – opening the festival (June 11) and performing again on June 25-26.
As previously reported on NME.COM, we’ve launched a special Morrissey site. As well as exclusive up-to-the-minute news and reviews from the Meltdown festival – we also have an exclusive Morrissey gallery, classic Smiths reviews from the NME archive, and much, much more.
