Morrissey is set to return with a major world tour and a three DVD retrospective, two for his solo career and one of The Smiths featuring unseen footage.
According to US website Allstar the former Smiths frontman heads out on tour round Europe including 18 dates in the UK and Ireland although details are not yet available. Nottingham Rock City was to be the first date but a spokesmen there denied that Morrissey was playing.
The site also states that he will play the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival 1999 in Coachella, Calif. near Palm Springs on October 9th it also features the Chemical Brothers, Pavement, DJ Shadow, The Jon Spencer Blues Explosion and Rage Against The Machine.
Morrissey‘s last album of new songs was 1997’s ‘Maladjusted’, followed by a compilation of rarities ‘My Early Burglary Years’.
