Morrissey to launch pop-up shop at New York dog rescue

Shop will feature T-shirts and bundles including pillowcases and posters

Morrissey has announced that he will be launching a MPORIUM pop-up shop at Sugar Mutts Rescue, a dog adoption center in Brooklyn, New York.

Morrissey’s MPORIUM pop-up recently appeared at Salford Lads Club. From August 19-21, the MPORIUM sold newly designed t-shirts, accessories, signed Bona Drag Vinyl Bundles and signed Hardback Autobiography bundles.

Set to open on September 24 and 25, the New York pop-up will feature T-shirts, as well as bundles including pillowcases and posters.

Morrissey will sign one of these posters and everyone purchasing a bundle will be entered into a draw to win the signed poster.

According to Morrissey’s Facebook page, a fee and percentage of all profits from the shop will go towards Sugar Mutts, which operates as a non-profit.

The Facebook statement continues to explain that the dogs at Sugar Mutts Rescue are rescued directly from high-kill shelters, whether it be Animal Care & Control in New York or various shelters where thousands are euthanised every year due to lack of resources and lack of space.
