A statement issued to fansite True To You reads: “Morrissey’s concert in Nashville on Thursday, July 2, at the Grand Ole Opry House is being moved to Friday, July 3, at the Ryman Auditorium.”

As Stereogum reports, the Grand Ole Opry House has a capacity of 4,400, while the newly-assigned venue hold around 2,400.

Earlier this week, Morrissey appeared on US television. The singer performed live on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Thursday night (June 25), running through ‘Kiss Me A Lot’ from last year’s ‘World Peace Is None Of Your Business’ album.

Morrissey recently discussed his numerous recent health scares, stating that he once “officially died” for “nine minutes”.

He admitted in October 2014 that he had undergone a series of cancer-related treatments, stating in an interview: “They have scraped cancerous tissues four times already, but whatever. If I die, then I die. And if I don’t, then I don’t.”

Now, speaking to Alternative Nation, Moz addressed an incident that took place during his South American tour in 2013 where he was hospitalised for food poisoning, forcing him to cancel a series of dates.
