Morrissey shares ‘lost studio track’ ‘Blue Dreamers Eyes’

Another unheard song drops from the controversial Smiths frontman

Morrissey has shared yet another previously unheard ‘lost studio track’. Check out ‘Blue Dreamers Eyes’ below.

Having previously shared ‘By The Time I Get To Wherever I’m Going‘ online with fans, now he’s dropped another unheard song complete with a live footage compilation video put together by his photographer nephew Sam Esty Rayner.

The swooning but elegiac and orchestrally-led number sees Morrissey in a typically bittersweet and morose mood as he pines: “I’m scum, and I’ve always been scum/ And that’s just the way it’s gone… “I’ve failed and failed/ Jumped up again and failed again.”

Marred by controversy of late, the former Smiths frontman recently cancelled all of his upcoming UK and European tour dates for ‘logistical’ reasons, amid ‘former fans’ planning anti-racism protests outside concerts.

Earlier this year, Morrissey made headlines when he discussed accusations of racism and alleged connections between Halal meat and ISIS. He also referred to Hitler as ‘left wing’ and said that London Mayor Sadiq Khan “can not talk properly”. He later issued a new statement in which he said he “despised racism and racism” and voiced his support for Muslims, while also advocating far right political party For Britain.

Among Morrissey’s other controversial comments in recent months, the indie veteran also claimed that treatment of English Defence League founder Tommy Robinson had been “shocking“, after he was jailed for 13 months for contempt of court.
