The pair team up on a version of Gray's 'I've Committed Murder'...

Macy Gray has announced details of a new single which will feature rapper Mos Def and live tracks from her recent show at the LONDON BRIXTON ACADEMY.

Gray will release ‘Why Didn’t You Call Me?’ on July 17 through Epic. It is the fourth track to be taken as a single from her debut album ‘On How Life Is’, and will be backed by remixes of the track by 88 Keys and Black Eyed Peas, as well as a ‘Gangster’ remix of the album track ‘I’ve Committed Murder’, featuring rapper Mos Def. Also on the single will be a live version of ‘I Can’t Wait To Meetchu’, recorded at the Brixton Academy in April.

The video for the single is to be directed by Hype Williams, who has previously worked with R&B superstars TLC, Missy Elliott, Busta Rhymes and Janet Jackson.

Macy Gray was the surprise ‘special guest’ at last weekend’s Glastonbury Festival, and will make two more UK festival appearances this summer at the T In The Park Festival at Balado, near Kinross in Scotland on July 9 and the V2000 festival at Weston Park, Staffordshire and Hylands Park, Chelmsford over the weekend of August 19-20.
