This follows a petition to rename a JD and Coke after the singer
An Atlantic City bottling company are selling bottles of Jack Daniel’s as a tribute to late Motorhead frontman Lemmy.
Lemmy passed away on December 28, following a short battle with cancer. He was aged 70.
Following Lemmy’s death, a petition was launched to change the name of a Jack Daniel’s and Coke cocktail to a “Lemmy”. While almost 45,000 signed the petition, ACB Bottle Company have responded with a limited-edition Lemmy-endorsed drink.
See photos of the Lemmy special edition Jack Daniel’s bottle below. It has been sold with permission from Motorhead but has now official affiliation to Jack Daniel’s itself.
In August of last year, Lemmy claimed that he had switched from drinking whiskey and Coke to drinking vodka and orange for “health reasons”.
Lemmy’s funeral was held in Los Angeles on January 9, with Dave Grohl, Slash and more in attendance.
Speaking at the service, Slash said of Lemmy: “He was such a fucking great example that much of my peers want to be. He was just true to school and had more integrity in one finger than most rock and rollers.”
Following his death, ‘Ace Of Spades’ made it to Number 13 in the UK Singles Chart.
