Ms Banks is about to release her “best piece of work”

"Us girls aren't taking no for an answer any more"

Ms Banks has revealed that she’s about to drop what she believes to be her “best piece of work” yet. Check out our video interview with Banks above.

Tipped among the NME 100 as one of the most essential new artists to keep an eye on in 2018, the South London rapper spoke to us on the red carpet of the VO5 NME Awards 2018 about her confidence in what lies ahead.

“I’ve got my best piece of work ready to come out,” she told NME, “and some great visuals.

“With videos, I’ve been a lot more creative and doing a lot more on the director side of things and getting more involved in my treatments and the whole look of it, so I can’t wait for people to see it. Usually, I just work on the music – but I’m involved in every sector now.”

Asked if there’s anything about her upcoming projects that will really surprise people, Banks replied: “Yes, just my whole storyline. I’m being more open about where I’ve come from and how I’ve got to where I am.”

She added: “Also, the things I’m doing in the fashion world as well. I’m being a bit more fashion-forward this year and really just showing all sides of me.”
