Johnny Flynn, Michael Kiwanuka and Nick Mulvey confirmed to appear
Mumford and Sons‘ Gentlemen of the Road label and mini-festival is to take over a stage at Glastonbury on Saturday (June 28).
Johnny Flynn, Michael Kiwanuka and Nick Mulvey are all confirmed to appear at the Avalon Cafe in the Field of Avalon with a press release announcing the news promising “some expected (and unexpected) surprises throughout.”
King Charles will also perform, as will Communion band Rubblebucket and Bear’s Den. The stage will open at 11:30am with a set from comedian Thomas Gray. Fellow comedian Alfie Brown will be compering the stage throughout the day.
The majority of the artists will also perform sets on some of the bigger stages at this year’s festival. The full stage times for the event were revealed earlier this month. Information on the timings for the Pyramid Stage, Other Stage, West Holts Stage, The Park Stage, John Peel Stage Acoustic Tent and Avalon Stage can be found here.
Mumford & Sons headlined Glastonbury in 2013, bringing out members of bands including The Vaccines, Vampire Weekend and First Aid Kit during their performance on the Sunday night of the festival. Since 2012 Mumford & Sons have hosted their own mini-festivals across the world, under the ‘Gentlemen of the Road’ name.
