Muse suffered a technical mishap with their stage production last night (April 14) during their gig at London’s O2 Arena.
The band played the third gig of a four-night residency at the London venue in support of last year’s album ‘Drones’.
As NME‘s Mark Beaumont reports, during the band’s performance of track ‘The Globalist’, a blimp/plane-shaped drone that fans are calling the ‘dildrone’ attempted to fly the entire circuit of the arena, instead making it just over half the way around before it started falling down onto the crowd, leading to a scramble from the crew to get it down onto the ground and out of the arena.
Watch footage of the incident below. No fans are thought to have been hurt.
So what happened with your inflatable plane @muse? Was it supposed to crash? Still loved the show though! #muse #DronesTour #o2

Meanwhile, it has been reported that the band’s frontman Matt Bellamy has invested in a new drone racing league.
Muse continue their UK tour at London’s O2 this evening (April 15), before rounding up the stint with two shows in Glasgow.
