Muse split rumours revealed as a hoax

A fake NME.COM page has been circulating with the story that the Devon trio had parted ways

Online rumours that Muse are to split have been revealed as a hoax.

Rumours that the band had parted ways began to spread last night (November 28) when a fake NME.COM page was circulated throughout Twitter and on the band’s official message board and has since been shared all over the world.

The fake page, which you can see on the right, alleged that the band had split after an argument, but this has been dismissed by a representative for the band.

Muse headlined Reading And Leeds Festivals earlier this year and are currently in the studio working on their sixth studio album, which is due to be released in late 2012.

The album will be the follow-up to the band’s 2009 LP ‘The Resistance’. The band have not given any details on who will be acting as producer for the album as yet.
