The band go to great lengths to make sure all goes well tomorrow…

MUSE have performed a dress rehearsal for their set at V FESTIVAL today (August 20) onsite in CHELMSFORD.

Eyewitnesses have told NME.COM that the band, currently rehearsing with a new bassist following the injury to core member Chris Wolstenholme, have been on the stage at V, working on the songs they’re going to play tomorrow night (August 21).

One fan told NME.COM: “It was quite a treat to see – my own private gig. They were there, checking everything and making sure everyone was happy for the big night tomorrow. It looked like they were making sure everything’s right for the performance on the night.”

Tonight the band will head back to London, and will spend most of tomorrow in a rehearsal space in the north of the city, working on the songs with [a][/a]’ bassist Morgan Nicholls, who is filling in for Chris.

Wolstenholme injured his hand while on the Curiosa tour in the US and fractured the scaphoid bone in his hand, leaving him in plaster for the next six weeks.

Although there’ll be a replacement bassist Wolstenholme will be onstage with his band, performing backing vocals and keyboards.

NME.COM will be at both festival sites all weekend, bringing you all the latest news, reviews, pictures and backstage gossip as it breaks.
