The band's "end of the world" record finally gets a title...

MUSE have finally named their long awaited third album – it’s to be called ‘ABSOLUTION’.

The follow up to 2001’s acclaimed ‘Origin Of Symmetry’ has “a lot of apocalyptic stuff going on”, according to frontman Matt Bellamy. It’s due for release on September 22.

“It’s come across more as a general fear and mistrust of the people in power,” he told NME last month. “It’s about moments of extreme fear, and a fair bit of ‘end of the world’ stuff.”

As reported previously on NME.COM, the first single from ‘Absolution’ will be ‘Stockholm Syndrome’, available only as a download and for a limited time.

To buy the single ‘Stockholm Syndrome’, go to [url=], or NME.COM from July 14, and use either a credit card or reverse SMS. Fans can download the single’s exclusive artwork at the same time.
