Muse unveil special guest for UK leg of ‘Simulation Theory’ tour

He's a legend.

Muse have announced a “very special guest” for the UK dates of their ‘Simulation Theory’ tour.

Tom Morello, the legendary guitarist with Rage Against The Machine, will take to the stage this June with Muse.

The musician, who also performs with Prophets of Rage, released his first album under his own name last October, ‘The Atlas Underground’.

Tom Morello’s upcoming tour dates with Muse are as follows:

June

1 – London, UK London Stadium

5  – Bristol, UK Ashton Gate Stadium

8 – Manchester, UK Etihad Stadium

A press release about the tour says that fans can buy an Enhanced Experience Package on the ‘Simulation Theory’ world tour “that allows access to an exclusive Mixed Reality Pre-Show Party, powered by Microsoft, with three original virtual reality games, inspired by tracks from Simulation Theory.

“Additional Enhanced Experience perks include a premium concert ticket, show specific poster, interactive photo experience with props and memorabilia from the band’s latest videos and more.”

Elsewhere, speaking to NME backstage after their VO5 NME Awards 2018 win for Best Festival Headliner, Muse frontman Matt Bellamy said of the 2019 tour: “We’re going to do the biggest tour and just blow people’s minds with stuff they’ve never seen before.”

“We’re going to come up with something that no one’s ever seen before. We’re always interested in the latest technology and what’s cutting edge, so we’re always thinking of the new thing that nobody’s ever used before in a concert. And we found something and we’re going to use that.”

Since then, the band have shared plenty of glimpses into what fans can expect from the worldwide tour, which kicked off in February, including the trio being joined by an enormous cyborg that appears to be shooting laser beams out of its mouth.

Muse play Sacramento, CA Golden 1 Center tomorrow (March 7) and wrap the ‘Simulation Theory’ tour up at Madrid’s SPA Wanda Metropolitano on July 26. Head over to the band’s website for the full schedule.
