The song is the new single from London-based outfit Le Volume Courbe

My Bloody Valentine frontman Kevin Shields has teamed up with French-born, London-based musician Charlotte Marionneau.

Marionneau’s Le Volume Courbe have unveiled a new single, with ‘The House’ featuring Shields, who also appeared on 2005 debut ‘I Killed My Best Friend’. You can stream ‘The House’ below.

Meanwhile, the single’s other track ‘Monte Dans Mon Ambulance’ features Primal Scream‘s Martin Duffy, with both tracks mixed by PJ Harvey collaborator John Parish.

Last year, Shields revealed that the band were planning on recording a new EP, stating that he was “working on some new songs at the moment” that will form the basis of said release.

The release has been in the pipeline since 2013’s long-awaited ‘m b v’ album, “We plan on going into the studio October/November time,” Shields said at the time, raising prospects of a possible follow-up to My Bloody Valentine’s third studio album.

‘m b v’ was released on February 2, 2013 via My Bloody Valentine’s website. It was the band’s first new material to see the light of day since second album ‘Loveless’, 22 years earlier.

Meanwhile, My Bloody Valentine bass player Debbie Googe recently joined Thurston Moore’s new band, along with TSonic Youth drummer Steve Shelley and English guitarist James Sedwards. They played a series of live shows last year.
