My Chemical Romance’s Frank Iero announces new band for 2019

Behold, Iero's new incarnation for 2019...

Frank Iero, the former My Chemical Romance guitarist, has revealed the name of his new solo project for this year.

The musician, who has already released albums under frnkiero and the cellabration as well as Frank Iero And The Patience, enters his third chapter as a solo artist under the name: Frank Iero and the Future Violents.

Iero announced the news via a video on Instagram earlier this week. In the clip, he reveals the new project’s name by writing it on a piece of paper.

In the caption he wrote: “here’s to a happy and healthy new jeers” and hints that music will be released this spring.

Meanwhile, ex-My Chemical Romance frontman Gerard Way has been busy with his own solo work.

In 2018, Way shared ‘Getting Down The Germs’ and ‘Baby You’re A Haunted House’, and in 2017 he released two singles for Record Store Day: ‘Into The Cave We Wander’ and ‘Pogi’s Cavern’.

Way hasn’t officially announced the follow up to his 2014 solo debut album, ‘Hesitant Alien’ but the release of two new singles at the back-end of 2018 could signal a new record this year.
