MMJ mainman Jim James tells NME.COM the Euro popsters are "great"...

My Morning Jacket expressed their love for support band JUNIOR SENIOR at their NME AWARDS SHOW at the LONDON ASTORIA last night (February 5).

On the surface the two groups couldn’t be more different – American rock and Danish Euro-pop. But the two are friends and played together for the first time last night.

My Morning Jacket’s Jim James told NME.COM: “I’m so excited to see Junior Senior. I think their record is so great. They’re so exciting.”

A year ago My Morning Jacket were first on at an NME Awards Show, a position Keane found themselves in.

Singer Tom Chaplin told NME.COM: “We’re the first on tonight. There’s a rumour that it’s a lucky slot. It’s a good slot to have at the NME Awards Shows. Who else has done it? The Strokes and Coldplay? That’s fairly lofty company. We’re really excited about it. Having spent six years trying to get a record deal, this is all really exciting for us.”

After their show Keane dashed across town for their own secret headline gig at the Villers Theatre in Covent Garden.
