Gorillaz toppled by Pussycat in UK singles chart battle

And there's high new entries for Mylo and Coldplay...

GORILLAZ have been knocked to the top of the UK singles chart tonight after just one week tonight (September 11) by PUSSYCAT.

The chart-topper is the highest new entry. Mylo’s mash up with Eighties band Miami Sound Machine, ’Doctor Pressure’, is the next new arrival at Three, with Coldplay’s ’Fix You’ one place down at Four.

Elsewhere in the Top Forty, Goldie Lookin Chain go in at 14 with ’Your Missus Is A Nutter’, Arcade Fire are in at 19 with ’Rebellion (Lies)’ and Ian Brown goes in at 20 with ’All Ablaze’.

In the album rundown, McFly fall from Number One to Six with ’Wonderland’ – but James Blunt’s ’Back To Bedlam’ has gone back to the top, meaning that The Rolling Stones go in at Two with their first studio album in eight years, ’A Bigger Bang’.
