Mystery Jets are to play a oneoff show in London this September as part of Transgressive Records 10th birthday celebrations.
The band will appear on a bill at the Barbican Centre that also includes Johnny Flynn & The Sussex Wit and Marika Hackman on September 30. The gig will be compered by Radio 1 DJ Huw Stephens with special guests and DJs yet to be announced. Tickets will go on general sale on Friday June 6 at 10am and can be purchased on the Barbican Centre website.
Toby L, co-founder of Transgressive, comments: “The Barbican is one of the world’s finest venues so it’s both an honour and privilege for us to be presenting an evening of our roster as part of our 10th birthday celebrations. This will be a real centerpiece night in a full year of events for us – and there are more names to come. We cannot wait.”
Huw Stephens comments: “Transgressive have released so many great records over the last decade, and the night promises to be a huge celebration of all they’ve achieved. The line-up is testament to the quality of their releases, and I can’t wait to listen to the music Transgressive have brought us over the years, live onstage.”
Formed in 2004, Transgressive Records have released albums by bands including Foals, Two Door Cinema Club, Flume, At The Drive-In, Graham Coxon, Regina Spektor, The Shins and The Antlers.
Mystery Jets are currently working on their fourth studio album, the follow up to their 2012 album ‘Radlands’. The live show will mark their first UK show since 2013.
