N-Dubz’s Dappy arrested on suspicion of attacking his girlfriend

Singer is held by police for 12 hours before being released without charge

N-Dubz member Dappy was arrested yesterday (October 8) on suspicion of attacking his girlfriend.

The singer was held after police were called to the home of his partner Kaye Vassell‘s mother in west London. It is thought her mother called the police when Dappy became violent towards his girlfriend.

He was kept in custody for almost 12 hours before being released without charge, reports the Daily Mirror.

“Police were called at 8.59am to an address in W6 to reports of a woman assaulted,” a Metropolitan Police spokesman confirmed. “Officers attended and arrested a 24-year-old man on suspicion of common assault.”

The spokesperson added:

The 21-year-old victim did not require hospital treatment. No further action will be taken.

Dappy recently confirmed that N-Dubz will split up in the next two years.

He said the trio have decided to release a greatest hits compilation and will then disband so they can focus on their solo careers.
