He says he always gives fake names when he's stopped and searched
N-Dubz rapper Dappy has admitted giving false information to police whenever he is stopped and searched.
“Up to this day we still give the wrong name and address,” he explained.
Dappy also admitted that he used to dodge paying travel fares in London, but said since finding fame he has changed his stance.
“For the first time we’re actually gonna pay and do this properly,” the film shows him saying.
The program, called Being N-Dubz, is set to air on Channel 4 on Monday (June 21).
It is not illegal to give false information to a police officer when stopped and searched, a Scotland Yard spokesperson confirmed.
“The point of stop and search is not to ascertain your details, but to undertake a search,” he said.
