Students accuse N-Dubz drummer of sexual assault in Scottish court

Aaron Fagan faces claims in Glasgow courtroom

Two students have claimed in court they were sexually assaulted by N-Dubz drummer Aaron Fagan.

A 19 and 20-year-old girl, who cannot be named for legal reasons, told Glasgow Sheriff Court they were assaulted by the sticksman last October.

Fagan was arrested at Strathclyde University student’s union hours after he and bandmates Dappy, Fazer and Tulisa picked up awards for Best Album and Best UK Act at the Mobo awards, which were held in the city.

The 20 year-old, told the court that she had gone to see N-Dubz with some friends and was leaving the venue when the drummer approached her, reports BBC News.

“He asked if I wanted to go to an N-Dubz after party. He then put his arms over our shoulders and started leading us up the stairway,” she said.

“As we were climbing the stairs he took his hand away from my neck and put it on my bottom and started grabbing at it. We carried on climbing the stairs and he hit my friend on the bum too. He then moved round behind me and with both arms reaching round from behind, started to grab my breast.”

She added that she told Fagan not to touch her and both friends later told him that they were not going to the after party and left. She said she then told a bouncer and the police were called.

However the drummer’s defence lawyer Euan Cameron denied the claims and said she approached Fagan and asked to go to the after party.

He also asked why they did not leave when he first touched them and she replied: “I was in shock and I felt intimidated.”

Cameron added: “Having thought that you had secured an invite to the N-Dubz party were now left looking foolish and were upset and so you told lies to a door steward you met on the way out, is that not the case?”

The student denied the claims. The trial will continue next week.
