The former N-Dubz member charged after alleged incident outside Essex nightclub
Dappy has been charged with assault.
The former member of N-Dubz was picked up by police for the alleged incident early this morning (February 27). A statement from Essex Police, via Digital Spy, reads: “Costadinos Contostavlos, aged 26, from Sandridge, St Albans, has been charged with an assault by beating following an incident outside a nightclub in Moulsham Street in Chelmsford in the early hours of February 27. He has been released on bail prior to his appearance at Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court on March 19.”
Dappy had recently revealed plans to reunite his former group N-Dubz. Speaking to The Mirror, the singer expressed his desire to get back together with his bandmates Tulisa Contostavlos and Fazer. The trio went on hiatus in 2011, looking to concentrate on their solo careers.
Dappy recently came second on Channel 5’s latest series of Celebrity Big Brother, beaten by TV presenter Jim Davidson. Meanwhile, Fazer has released a handful of solo singles since N-Dubz’ split and set up his own production company, Sky’s The Limit Entertainment, working on music for Jessie J and Tulisa.
Tulisa released her album, ‘The Female Boss’, in 2012, while appearing on The X Factor as a judge. Last year, she was arrested on suspicion of supplying Class A drugs following a sting set up by newspaper The Sun On Sunday. She is set to face trial on July 14, 2014
