*NSYNC singer JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE is being accused of false imprisonment of a minor and intentional infliction of emotional distress by a 15-year-old fan.
The charges, which were lodged at a court in St Louis, Missouri last week, stem from an incident which is alleged to have happened at Chase Park Plaza hotel in the town after the group performed there on November 19.
www.sonicnet.com reports that a security guard is also being accused of assault and battery by the girl, Danielle McGuire. The girl?s lawyer John Wallach says that she was in the lobby of the hotel with dozens of other fans of the group when the boyband stars arrived. All of them apart from Timberlake are reported to have spent time talking to the girls, and the girl yelled ?I like JC group member Joshua Chasez] better anyway, he?s cuter.?
She alleges that one of the group?s security guards then appeared and asked who made the comment, and when she admitted it was she, she was taken upstairs by the guard who she says refused to let her tell her mother.
Wallach alleges: “[McGuire] said he went on and on, and wouldn’t stop. He was right in her face, saying things over and over again.” The girl?s mother was not allowed upstairs, but a friend – news reporter Randy Jackson was allowed to fetch her and claims to have seen Timberlake shouting at the girl.
*NSYNC, their management company and Chase Park Plaza hotel, who employed the security guards, are all named in the lawsuit.
As reported on NME.COM last week, *NSYNC have been added to the Superbown half-time entertainment bill on January 28.
