The reappearance of 'Rust Never Sleeps' coincides with the release of his new studio album 'Greendale'...

NEIL YOUNG is to precede the release of his new studio album by re-releasing his classic ‘RUST NEVER SLEEPS’ concert on both DVD and video.

Originally performed 25 years ago at San Francisco’s Cow Palace in October 1978, ‘Rust Never Sleeps’ is widely thought to be one of the best rock’n’roll concert performances ever filmed.

Produced and directed by Neil Young himself, under his alias of Bernard Shakey, the DVD/video is re-released on August 4.

Young ‘s new studio album ‘Greendale’, which he previewed in full on his recent acoustic European tour, follows on August 18.

It’s been a busy time for the singer, following the recent release of four of his back catalogue albums on CD for the first time – ‘On The Beach’, ‘Hawks & Doves’, ‘American Stars’n’Bars’, and ‘Re-ac-tor’.
