According to Crazy Horse guitar player Frank ‘Poncho’ Sampedro, Neil Young‘s current tour may be his last.
Sampedro, who started playing in Young’s backing band in 1975 has said: “My gut tells me this is really the last tour.”
Speaking to Rolling Stone, he added: “I love playing and we’re playing as good as we ever did, but at any time something could go down with any one of us.”
He continued: “It takes a lot of energy to play that much.” He also said that Young’s “wrist bugs him, and he has to tape it when he plays… I already had an operation on my thumb… It just seems at some point something is going to break.”
Neil Young & Crazy Horse released two albums last year, ‘Americana’ and ‘Psychedelic Pill’, and began their current world tour in North America. They will visit the UK this summer.
