NELLY, the new wave rapper whose debut ‘COUNTRY GRAMMAR’ topped the US album chart for over a month earlier this autumn, is to make his feature film acting debut in ‘SNIPES’, an urban thriller currently in production.
The rapper will be joined in the picture by Young Zee and Pace Won from East Coast hip-hop collective Outsidaz. Nelly will play a hip-hop artist kidnapped on the eve of his album’s release in the Rich Murray
Directorial debut film. More established rap names such as Fat Joe, Kool Moe Dee and Schooly D also feature.
NME.COM can exclusively reveal the two Outsidaz members, alongside Nelly, have recently filmed their first scene together in Las Vegas, Pace Won and Zee play drug dealers rivalling Nelly’s gang. Controversial scenes took place straight away, where Pace and Zee are shown shooting up Nelly’s gang.
NME.COM will bring you more news on the film as it nears the end of production.
